Are you a fan of everything Mid Century? Who in their right mind isn’t…
Well, good news, my latest design is a large scale, retro, geometric, Mid Century inspired pattern, featuring lino-printed geometric shapes with a distressed ink texture. The slightly overlapped underlying shapes are solid (rather than lino printed) in a contrasting color, and the background is made up of overlapping skewed squares and rectangles. It’s available in 30 colors on a wide range of fabrics and wallpaper at both Spoonflower and Fashion Formula- click here for more details. Spoonflower also offer the design on a range of ready-made curtains, bedding, table linen and home decor, so if you want a lovely retro table cloth for your dining table or some cool Mid Century curtains, but you can’t sew - get on over to Spoonflower and have them delivered. The print is also available at a slightly smaller scale on a range of cushions/pillows and home decor/accessories. Check this page for more details. Yes, I did pick the two colors in the above image because they remind me of Charlie Brown’s famous T-Shirt….Good Grief!
So, to go with my Polka Dot and Striped pillows/cushions, I also offer a Chevron Print in the same range of colors, because I’m thoughtful like that. My Zazzle store has the full range of cushions, where you can choose from cotton or polyester covers, with or without zips and from indoor or outdoor covers. Or, head over to my Redbubble store to find the wide chevron print on cushions/pillows (with or without insert) and on a range of home decor and accessories. For fabric with large scale/wide/deep chevrons you can purchase from either my Zazzle or Spoonflower stores. Spoonflower also offers the print on wallpaper and on a wide range of home decor, bedlinen and table linen. What have I got for you today? STriped cushions, or pillows if you prefer.
Yes, they’re a bit ubiquitous, but that’s because they’re an enduring classic. Stripes never go out of style. Ever! As you can see from the above image, I have a massive range of colors for you to choose from, in either standard or wide stripes, so you can mix and match colors and stripes to your hearts content. The same color palette was used for my polka dot, chevron and doodle line art cushions, so you could go crazy and match prints/patterns too. At present you’ll need to visit my Zazzle store for the full range of striped cushions. If you are looking for wallpaper, ready-made home decor, or fabric with really wide/deep stripes then head over to my Spoonflower store, where I have a limited range of the colors available as 9 inch deep stripes. Polka Dots: modern but retro, fun yet elegant.
My polka dot pattern features randomly scattered spots - just because I prefer them that way - and is available in almost 50 colours: brights, darks, pastels, neutrals and desaturated colours, so you should be able to find a colour for any room. For the widest range of home decor, please head to my Society6 or Redbubble stores. Although if you love shopping at Zazzle, I do sell my print there on cushions/pillows, fabric (large and small scale pattern), and table lamps/light shades. I also sell a large scale polka dot print on fabric and wallpaper via Spoonflower. They also offer the print on a large range of ready-made home decor, bedding and table linen Seeing spots can be a good thing! Spread the Good Vibes, because there just aren't enough sometimes.
This design features inky, distressed effect 'Good Vibes' text on a subtle ink-textured background. It's simple, low-key and suits a wide variety of rooms. The design is available in (off) white, black, sunshine yellow, peach, pink, aqua-blue and a lovely orange/red. Head over to either Society6 or Redbubble to look at the full range of products. This design was inspired by the trailing leaves wall art Trish Walker has in her bedroom on Jessica Jones. I think that wall art is spray painted, but my take on the design is hand printed with real ivy leaves.
I made the leaf prints purposely quite imperfect, because what’s the point of hand printing stuff if it looks like it was made on a computer? The leaves are set on a slightly textured/mottled background to give a bit of extra depth. The paler colours, such as the silver-gray and gray-green look great when mixed in with existing white bedding. There are more colours and products available than shown above. You can shop the collection at Society6. Despite what The Daily Mail would love everyone to believe, a good majority of people in the UK are not rabid fans of the Royal Family, and are not really that fussed about Harry and Megan's big day.
That doesn't mean we don't love our country though, so I thought now might be a good time to promote my grungy, vintage-look Union Jack design - which is also available with the ubiquitous "Keep Calm and Carry On' slogan. Of course the design is available on mugs, so you can enjoy a nice cup of tea whilst feeling massively patriotic, your heart bursting out of your chest with pride, as you dunk a few biscuits. I suppose you could drink coffee from the mugs if you really have to... If you want to watch 'The Wedding' wearing UK-themed apparel, head over to my Redbubble store, where you can buy Union Jack Tops and T-Shirts. Now you can look suitable British while you dab away tears of happiness with a handkerchief bearing the Queen's face. And of course, British punk was the best punk, so if you want some Union Jack bedding, wall art or decor - head to either Redbubble or Society6 and shop to your hearts content. Oh! And if you want UK-themed/Union Jack party invitations, head over to my Zazzle store for fully customisable designs. Rule Britannia! Stiff Upper Lip! Bring Me More Tea! And so on and so forth… God Bless America, and all who sail in her...
The design showcased today features the American Flag, the Stars and Stripes, with an aged, vintage, grungy feel. Are you feeling patriotic? Are you already mentally planning for 4th July and all the associated celebrations? Maybe you are in the US Military or are part of a military family? Maybe you have a son who will be heading off to college soon and are desperately looking for suitable bedding/dorm room decor that is not naff, and will immediately win him friends ?(No pressure...) Maybe you are going on vacation or to a music festival and want some USA themed travel accessories? Before you ask, I don't sell this design on what I believe Americans call...fanny packs...AND I NEVER WILL! You can buy this design from either my Society6 store or my Redbubble store. Both sites sell a lot of the same products, but there are some slight differences. Redbubble offers the design on a larger range of apparel, so you can buy US Flag t-shirts, tops, tanks, dresses, skirts and leggings. Both sites sell the design on duvet covers and wall tapestries, however, Society6 also offers the design on pillow shams and comforters. When it comes to throw pillows/cushions/floor cushions the sites offer slightly different purchase options: SOCIETY6 - All their throw pillows come complete with cushion pads. The standard indoor cushions are available from 16' - 24' and the water resistant outdoor throw pillows are available from 16' - 20'. For floor cushions you can choose either a round or square shape and there are two size options: 26' and 30' REDBUBBLE - You can buy throw pillows (indoor only) from 16" - 26" and can buy the cover only, or the cover and insert. At present they offer a 36' floor cushion cover - but you will have to source the cushion pad from somewhere else for now. Although they do hope to offer the option of a cushion pad ASAP. For accessories, head to either site, but backpacks are only currently available from Society6. I like to sleep in a nice, calm, simple bedroom.
Call it minimalist, or scandi, or whatever you like, but really I just like to keep things simple, low-key and non-fussy. At the end of the day, I don't want to look at any visual clutter, I don't want to have to process any bold colorfuL patterns (as much as I like them) because by the time it comes to hit the hay, I quite often feel like my eyes are about to burst. I also have a problem trying to switch my brain off... So, I really designed this bedding for myself. It consists of white lino-printed hexagons arranged into a penny-tile pattern on a pale silver-gray. This pattern is also available in the reverse print and in many other colours. Head to my Spoonflower store to purchase the design on fabric, wallpaper or ready-made home decor, bedding and table linen. My lino-printed stars pattern is now available via Spoonflower.
This means that along with being able to buy the print on a multitude of fabrics - from organzas to technical fabrics - and on a huge variety of home furnishings such as throw pillows, bedlinen and kitchen/dining room accessories, it's also available as....WALLPAPER! SPpoonflower sells wallpaper as a swatch, in 2ft x 12ft standard rolls and also as custom length rolls so that you can buy as much or as little as you need. There are two options when it comes to the type of wallpaper: a smooth, water activated (removable) paper, or, a woven peel-and-stick repositionable paper, so if you're renting (or you're just really fickle) this is the wallpaper for you! They also offer a durable, paste-activated isobar wallpaper. This paper type has a subtle leathered texture, a low-sheen matte finish, and is sold in 2ft by 27ft rolls. It is ideal for all room types as it is scratch resistant, PVC-free, FSC Certified, has a Class A fire rating and is mold, mildew and water resistant. At present there are 15 colors to choose from - there are soft neutral colors, pastels, desaturated colors, brights, a couple of dark blue options and a black and white version. The soft desaturated colors, such as the gray-green, the beige/light warm gray, and the white and silver options give you the option of having quite a fun print, but in an elegant, grown-up, non-overpowering way. If you've got a kid who is a massive Harry Potter or Newt Scamander fan (or maybe you are the fan), you should be able to find a suitable color option for your mini witch or wizard's magic-themed bedroom. The yellows and greens work great for areas that you might want to keep a bit more gender neutral, such as a nursery or playroom, as do the neutrals and darker options. The dark blues and black color options also work great for anyone who is into outer space, astronomy or astrology. Stars also obviously work well for birthday's, Christmas and Halloween, so be sure to have a look at all the table linen and napkins etc on offer. Here's a lovely simple design for you.
Understated, subtle, low-key and minimal. Sometimes, when you've been stressed and busy all day, and you feel like your head/eyes/entire being is about to burst, you want to chill-out in a room that is zen and calm and not all up in your face. This design features a hand printed lino texture (I didn't cut my hands to shreds making this one! Woo-hoo!) in an overlapping geometric design. There's enough design and texture to make it interesting without it being overwhelming. Of course it comes in white, but there's some lovely soft pastel shades to choose from too. As always the design is available via my Society6 store on a wide range of products, including bedding, bathroom decor and soft furnishings. It's also available via my Redbubble store, if you want a cushion cover without the cushion pad. Ahhhh; this star pattern. I love all my patterns, but this may be my favourite. It's so pretty, but without being twee.
I lino printed the stars individually, scanned and vectorised them, and then spent what felt like years arranging them into a pattern. The pattern is connected but broken which I really like, because it feels so much less 'formal'. I have the grey-on-white print (the reverse print of the curtains featured above) on a cushion/throw pillow in my scandinavian-feel bedroom and it looks great with my neutral colour scheme and wooden furniture. This print would also look great in a nursery or a kids room, but really, the pattern is subtle and never overwhelming, so add interest to an otherwise plain room with the window curtains, or floor cushion. It's. Just. So. Pretty. For fabric click here For cushions/throw pillows click here For bedlinen click here General home decor with this print is available from most of the sites mentioned in the linked pages above, but for ready-made star print table linen, head over to Spoonflower. Here's a little introduction to my lino printed cactus pattern.
I originally created it years ago, but with cactuses / cacti becoming so popular in the last few years, I decided to bring it back in a lino-printed version. Anything that gives me the opportunity to cut my hands to shreds with sharp tools, is always a good idea! At present I offer the print in black & white, pink & white, and green & white. The above slide show gives a few examples of what sort of products you can find the print on, but more is available in my Society6 store. The reverse print, with the colored cactus print on an off-white (it's not bright white) background, is especially good if you want to mix a few new items in with existing white bedding, or if you want a pattern that is not too overpowering. I love this pattern. Obviously, I'm biased, because it's my pattern, but oh well, whatever....nevermind.
It's a little bit retro but still modern. There's rainbows, there's stripes and there's lots of different color options. There's pink and pastel rainbow stripes for girly girls, blue and teal stripes that feel a bit beachy and surf-like to me, and gorgeous yellow and orange rainbow stripes for a sunny 60's and 70's feel. Along the bottom of the above image, you'll notice monochrome and more muted color palettes, because maybe you want a classier, more elegant rainbow stripe for your room? Of course, this pattern is available on lots of bed & bath products other than the comforters displayed above, as well as on apparel & accessories: cushions/pillows, pillow shams, duvet covers, throw blankets, organizer/carry-all pouches (great for music festivals & travelling), shower curtains, bath mats, towels, wall hangings, window curtains, bags and backpacks, mugs, phone covers, etc, etc. Just click the image to be taken straight to the wonderland that is my Society6 store. Have you seen my Doodle Line Art pattern yet? I drew it by hand and it's my favourite!
The print/pattern is available in over 50 colors, (coral being the latest) and suits a massive variety of room styles: Clean & Modern (but not boring!) - yes Minimal, with an accent color - yes Scandinavian style - yes. The pattern compliments clean, uncluttered but cosy rooms while providing a bit of interest. Mid Century Modern - yes. The curvy, swirly pattern and clean lines go so well with all things MCM. It's modern but retro and I have some really cool colors available. Bedrooms, living rooms, dens, snugs, nurseries, beach houses, conservatories, indoor cushions, outdoor cushions - yes, this print is perfect for them all. Are you looking for a certain color palette? I have them all covered - neutrals, pastels, brights, darks, desaturated colors and retro colors. If you want a color I don't currently offer, just let me know and I'll sort that out for you.
